Microphone Frequency Response

Refers to the microphone when subjected to different sound frequencies, the output signal will occur with frequency amplification or attenuation. The ideal frequency response curve is a horizontal line, represents the output signals can be direct rendered real original characteristics of sound, but this ideal situation is not easy to achieve. In General, the condenser microphone frequency response curve will be more flat than moving-coil. Most common microphone frequency response curves for high and low frequency attenuation, high frequency amplification low frequency attenuation can reduce the recording environment surrounding low frequency noise interference.

Frequency response graphs, horizontal frequency, measured in Hertz, represented most of the logarithm; for vertical axis sensitivity, expressed in decibels.
